FAIR@44 International Market is Back!
The Fair@44 is a community-activated lot located in City Heights at 4350 El Cajon Boulevard. It houses Dojo Café and an International Marketplace of start-up entrepreneurs from the Mid-City’s neighborhoods and our immigrant and refugee communities. The Boulevard BIA works with the IRC to give new small business owners a place to sell their products and interact with the community and new customers. Most of these businesses are women-, minority-owned businesses from immigrant communities.
April 20th / Earth Day! was the grand re-opening of Fair@44 and the launch of the SBA Community Navigator Pilot Program!
Grand re-opening of the Fair@44, the IRC launched the SBA Community Navigator Pilot Program (CNPP). Support small businesses and world culture at their weekly market.
The International Rescue Committee’s (IRC) CNPP is designed to help diverse small business owners access the programs and supports they need to rebuild and grow thriving businesses as part of America’s economic recovery.
Earth Day at the FAIRAT44 is working with a local arborist non-profit to teach community members proper tree planting techniques, offering certification and a free tree from City Farmers Nursery and The Boulevard BIA.
Become a steward of our tree deficient Mid- City community and together we will beautify our homes, produce more shade, grow delicious fruit, and create more walkable streets.
