The Mid-City Celebrates Dia De Los Muertos On The Boulevard with Camino De Almas on Tuesday Nov. 2nd with festivities starting at 4 PM at the newly opened patio of El Borrego Restaurant located at 4280 El Cajon Boulevard for delicious and traditional Day of the dead food, traditional Altar face painting, and local Latino brews.
At 6:30 PM the candlelight Procession of Souls takes off on foot lead by Mariachi Victoria San Diego’s Premiere youth Mariachi with members as young as 7 years old. Headed for the Fair@44 for a musical performance, Day of the Day treats and a Free showing of COCO.
The Boulevard BIA brings this cultural celebration to life again after using the Fair@44 for community resources during the 2020 COVID shutdown. We welcome the community back to enjoy the special traditions of our Latino neighbors and to learn and experience. Mid-City is made up of the most diverse cultures in San Diego and makes up 20% of all of San Diego’s population. The El Cajon Boulevard Business Improvement Association celebrates the cultural diversity that makes up its 4.5 mile, 1000 business strong district, with events like Camino De Almas.
