Access to Capital
Beginning in January the Small Business Development Center began a collaborated initiative with El Cajon Blvd Business Improvement Association and Civic San Diego bring our small business members Access to Capital. Within the initiative, the SBDC and the El Cajon Blvd BIA are working closely with seven different lenders, to meet the needs of small businesses at all levels of loan readiness. Participants in the program are given one-on-one advising and support from both organizations throughout the lending process, to ensure success. In addition to offering lending support, the SBDC offers free advising sessions, and workshops where entrepreneurs are helped to articulate their goals and execute a business plan. We encourage any Boulevard small business owners to take advantage of this opportunity. We look forward to seeing our small businesses grow and thrive together, making El Cajon Boulevard a destination for diverse and innovative businesses.
Pictured above is the ribbon cutting ceremony held in late February for their new office for the Small Business Development Center, and the Center for Small Business Advancement, two non-profit organizations funded by Southwestern Community College. The ceremony touted success stories of the SBDC helping to make visions of entrepreneurs a reality. We are excited to be working closely with them to bring their expertise to our business members.
